Ruste owns one of the largest rural primary care operations in West Tennessee, responsible for nearly 50,000 patient exams annually. In an era when practices struggled with an ever-changing market and lower reimbursements, he was able to implement revenue streams that could change the course of success for many primary care practices. His knowledge and experience have culminated in the formation of Emmaus Consulting. Ruste grew up on a working farm and retains the conservative ethics and values often cultured in rural America. Before becoming interested in the medical industry, he served as a biologist with the USDA. He enjoys the outdoors, working with his hands, playing chess, politics and problem-solving. His passions, however, are pediatric hematology/oncology and helping children in general. His long-term hope is to open a cancer research facility to pursue emerging theories in oncological science.
Ruste additionally owns a retail pharmacy and is married to his beautiful wife, Sara, with four children, Andi Cate, Brooks, Jesse and Sail. He is currently serving as a deacon at Crossroads Baptist Church.
